nMR Imaging features:
n
nSubcortical WM affected early and is most severe in the cerebral and cerebellar hemispheres
nCentral WM structures (internl capsule, corpus callosum, periventricular rim WM are preseved)
nProgressive ↑ T2 and ↓ T1 in the cerebral WM centripetal and confluent in distribution
