A. The cricoid cartilage (arrow) forms the superior boundary of the Level IV nodes.
B. The clavicle forms the inferior margin. (arrow)
C. These nodes are anterior and medial to an "oblique line" drawn connecting the posterior edge of the sternocleidomastoid muscle and the posterolateral edge of the anterior scalene muscle and lateral to the carotid artery (arrowheads).
