B & C. Schematic illustrations demonstrate the ipsilateral (B) and contralateral (C) nodal groups most likely at risk for developing nodal metastases from a floor of mouth carcinoma. On the ipsilateral side, Groups I and II are most likely at risk for developing nodal metastases. There is less than a low likelihood of metastases for contralateral nodal Groups I - V in lateralized floor of mouth carcinoma as depicted in the schematic illustration (figure 11A) (Reprinted with permission from reference 25)
